Brisbane IT companies join forces with over 34 years of combined industry experience

On 2 July 2018 AfterDark Technology successfully completed its acquisition of Australian IT security and services group, Wilkinson-Kent Consulting.

This acquisition provides AfterDark Technology with over 50 new customers and bolsters the company’s capabilities within IT security, business automation and the management of cloud migrations.

WK Consulting’s customers and staff will transition to AfterDark Technology and all operations will relocate to the AfterDark Head Office in Bowen Hills.

Commenting on the deal, Founder and Director of AfterDark Technology Stephen Gibson said, “the addition of WK Consulting supports our desire to increase our market share through a combination of acquisition and organic growth,” adding, “strengthening our core services ensures our customers benefit from our growing pool of talent and expertise to help maximise the potential in their own business.”

Gibson points to WK Consulting’s well-regarded team ethic as a key influential factor to acquire the business and adds, “we have a growth strategy in place and central to this is building our reputation as a provider of quality IT services to meet our customer needs. Our business objectives of integrating complimentary acquisitions and working closely with partners are both critical factors in achieving our growth targets this financial year.”

Alastair Wilkinson, co-founder of WK Consulting, said, "This is an exciting development for both WK Consulting and its customers. For the past 15 years we have strengthened our position in the local business IT services market. Our acquisition by AfterDark now provides us with a stronger corporate platform to provide first-class services to our customers."
