Li’l Champs Is The Name Of The New School App By Teksmobile

Announcement posted by Teknowledge software 05 Jul 2018

Li’l Champs is a fun-filled digital learning app for kids. It has more than 50 single/multiplayer educational games, and is available through subscription.

The digital learning app that Teksmobile - a leading multinational app and game development company - has been working on for the last six months or so, has finally got a name. It will be called Li’l Champs, and it is expected to be launched within the next few weeks.

In a brief media session, the head of the development team recounted the many hours of research and thinking that had gone in behind the selection of the app’s name. Instead of going in with a totally wacky name or something too serious-sounding, they were looking for something that would be nice and catchy, easy to remember for the kids, and will convey a sense of what the software is all about. “It’s meant for little kids”, said one of the designers, “and it will help them become learning champions...hence the name Li’l Champs!

With Li’l Champs, Teksmobile is looking to bring back the fun elements in classroom learning. The CEO of the company revealed that the app will have more than 50 interactive and exciting games in the first phase, with many having multiplayer options. The games will be intuitive and easy-to-play, and will include a variety of enjoyable activities - like racing, climbing, alien fights, and the like. The focus was on the gaming elements first, and then, on incorporating the educational bits in a seamless manner.

If an app for kids is repetitive, it becomes boring”, a senior quality analyst correctly pointed out. The team has gone all out to ensure that children never get bored while using the Li’l Champs school app. Each game in the application has its own unique theme, along with custom characters, colourful graphic elements, beautiful illustrations, and cute animations. Nor are the young learners likely to come across the same questions over and over again. The questions for this new educational app for kids have been selected from a database of 4000+ carefully chosen questions. The games in the app will cover three subjects - English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

A lot of thought has also gone in for determining the ‘correct’ difficulty levels of the games - so that they do not seem ‘too easy’ or ‘too tough’ for the kids. Most of the games have questions in multiple-choice format (MCQs) - and students have to keep answering correctly to win. “A sense of healthy academic competition,” said the team leader “is what we are looking to build with these games.” All the games have been carefully sorted according to subjects and sub-topics, and classes/standards. The Li’l Champs app is targeted towards kids from kindergarten to the fourth standard.

In the first phase, the app will be available in English only, although plans to release Li’l Champs in multiple other languages (Swedish and Korean will be up next) are already in the pipeline. The app will be available on a paid-subscription basis - with subscribers having full access to all the game content in the application. “We are in the final phases of testing right now...”, stated the research advisor of the Li’l Champs team, “...this is a new and highly competitive niche, and we want everything about the app to be just right.”

One of the biggest USPs of the Li’l Champs school learning app by Teksmobile will be its built-in support for monitored coaching. Detailed progress reports of kids, based on how they are performing in the games, will be generated from the backend. Teachers will be able to track these reports, understand the areas of strength and the problem areas for individual students, and guide them accordingly. “It’s not just another learning app”, explained the team lead, “what we’ve made is a tool that would help in more personalized classroom experiences.”

Active learning’ and ‘fun education’ are probably the two phrases that sum up the features of the Li’l Champs app the best. It has already received a big thumbs-up from the focus group of kids and parents who had been involved in the testing phase. Team Teks is quietly confident that the app, post-release, will find favour among teachers and junior learners globally.

The Li’l Champs app will be available on both the mobile (iOS and Android) and web platforms. The official website of the application will be live soon.

Li’l Champs has been a dream project of ours”, signed off the creative head, “and we feel that it will transform classroom education for the better.
