(Sydney, Australia) Flexilift Australia, a specialist materials handling and forklift company, is implementing Cincoms Priority ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution to help better manage its business processes and improve customer service.
Tony Piggott, Managing Director of Flexilift, said, Due to the nature of our business, we need a system which manages and reports on quotations, hire contracts and customer service. Also, as our forklifts have many different components, the system must keep track of what is in stock and alert us when inventory is low.
Based in Melbourne, Flexilift offers a wide range of services including forklift sales, hire and rental, service, parts and accessories.
Before implementing Priority, Flexilift used accounting package MYOB to provide operational support but it soon became apparent this system was not meeting the needs of the business and did not allow for the anticipated growth.
Prior to delivering a forklift, Flexilift must ensure the machine has been fully serviced, that oil levels and hydraulics are correct and the machine has been configured to the customers specifications. The configuration can involve using accessories from normal stock or even swapping them from an alternate machine, requiring Flexilift to know from where and how it can supply those accessories.
Cincoms Priority allows de-kitting of stock, sourcing of stock items, and reassigning accessories to fulfill orders. Priority also supplies lab-testing capabilities, which can be used for pre-delivery checklists.
We selected Cincoms Priority as not only does it fulfill all our current stock management and accounting requirements, but will allow better business decisions through providing management information that counts. Priority covers all aspects of our business including sales, customer relationship management, planning and scheduling, engineering, purchasing, inventory control, production, project management, human resources, costing and financial management, said Piggott.
