Announcement posted by Kara Lambert 24 Jul 2018

Kara Lambert, local and international speaker to discuss how businesses can apply psychology to their social media presence

Social media & Business coach Kara Lambert is set to lift the veil on the psychology behind social media and engagement when she joins a stellar line-up of local and international presenters at the Small Business Skills Summit this August.

With qualifications in psychology and management, Kara delves into how our brains work when we use social media in a bid to tackle the frustration many business owners feel when attempting to engage best practice in the digital realm.

“I see many businesses confused by conflicting advice and left disheartened by failed attempts to use social media, especially Facebook,” Kara said.

“This is where I bring in my secret weapon - understanding the psychology and consumer behaviour, including consumer buying behaviour, online.”

Kara has been writing on the impact of psychology on social media & providing her insight to small business owners since 2014. She has presented her findings to audiences in the UK and in Australia. Kara is currently bringing her knowledge together into a book so that she can help more businesses understand how to connect and engage online audiences in this new era of human-centred social media.

Kara’s Small Business Skills Sumit session will cover:

  • The psychology of motivation
  • The psychology of engagement
  • The core skills that business operators can use within their business to motivate and engage their audience online

Kara’s business and social media coaching and courses draw on her qualifications in Psychology and Management, along with almost 20 years of helping businesses move online.

Kara joins a line-up of over 60 skilled business exerts who will all share their unique insight into business across the 11 days of the Small Business Skills Summit.

Linda Reed-Enever and Clive Enever of networking and resources group Business Business Business are the brains behind the event and have said that the summit offers business owners access to a range of skills and expertise.

“This is a stellar line-up of presenters that each offer a unique insight into critical aspects of the small business realm,” Linda says.

“Not only do they have experience in small business, they are experts in their field, with skill sets ranging from intellectual property to accounting and branding.”

Linda continued that the key to the success of the summit was having presentations and information available online.

“We know business owners are busy. We know attending conferences means time away from the helm. That’s why this summit is delivered to operators wherever they are, whatever they do. They can take part from their couch, from their office or while on holidays.”

“What’s more, all presentations are available for three months after the event, so people can tune in or revisit whenever they need.”
