Staffware PLC AGM Statement

Announcement posted by Staffware 01 May 2001

Record Q1 Sales; First Sale of Staffware eCRM John O'Connell, Chairman and CEO of Staffware plc, speaking recently at the company's Annual General Meeting made the following comments to shareholders:

"Last year, Staffware turned in an outstanding financial and business performance against a backdrop of a turbulent technology market. The strength of our core Enterprise Workflow business enabled us to achieve substantial profitable growth overall, whilst at the same time investing significantly in both product and market development. The latter was under the umbrella of eProcess, which has extended our reach into the emerging eBusiness marketplace.

"Despite much more challenging market conditions this year, I am particularly pleased to report that we have recorded a record Quarter 1 sales performance. Revenue of 9.7 million, a growth of 20% compared to the same period last year, which itself was an exceptional quarter. Notable new contracts include our first order for the newly released combined Staffware eCRM product, with Capella University in the USA, following on from Staffware eCRM winning a 'TOP 15' award at a CRM trade Show in Chicago in February. There were also a number of new Staffware Enterprise (StEP)
contracts in the quarter, including Unum Provident (a US insurance organisation), and a major European telecommunications company. There were also three noteworthy Reseller Partner driven contracts - in Russia, Japan
and Italy.

"Staffware invested significantly in organisational growth in 2000. This year, we are leveraging last year's investment in people and technology to achieve continued growth in both sales and profits particularly in the second half of this year. Our confidence is bolstered by the value of qualified sales prospects which stand at a record level, in line with market
expectations of growth for the year."
