Thomson wins Home Beautiful magazine award
At the inaugural Australian Home Beautiful magazine awards, held on November 14, Thomson multimedia took home the coveted award for best entertainment product. The Thomson LiFE portable 14 inch TV with built in DVD player topped the hotly contested category.
Adrian Tamplin, Sales Manager, Thomson multimedia commented: We are delighted to have received this award as there was some stiff competition in this category. We see this award as further acknowledgment of our commitment to create a range of innovative products and it is especially flattering to have received recognition from Australias most established homemaker magazine.
The judging criteria for all categories was innovation, product design, functionality, ease of use and value for money. The expert panel of judges, included chef and author Christine Manfield, bed linen and sleepwear designer Peter Alexander, industrial design lecturer Rina Burnabine and Editor of Home Beautiful Andrea Jones.
In awarding the Thomson LiFE portable 14 inch TV with built in DVD player the entertainment product of the year award, the judges commented: Its a good price and it looks nice. Itd be great in a kids room.
Thomson multimedia is keen to make the most of these awards and will be supporting the winning products in store with POS material such as stickers, showcards and posters.
In addition a review of the awards is featured in the December issue of Australian Home Beautiful magazine which is read by 366,000 people. The accompanying article reads:
