TodayCorp secures Australian Defence Force eLearning contract

Announcement posted by TodayCorp Pty Ltd 07 Apr 2006

TodayCorp Pty Ltd, Asia-Pacifics largest online learning, development and recruitment company, today announced that their Impart subsidiary have won a keenly contested contract for the delivery of an online learning package for the Deployed Forces Support Unit (DFSU) of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).The aim of this new online learning package is to ensure deployed Australian Defence Force Personnel are empowered with the knowledge to serve in threat environments around the globe.
The package will enable military personnel to deal with potentially threatening situations by better understanding their circumstances and improving their ability to react and cope should such circumstances occur.
The package will cover essential learning fundamentals including: basic health; hygiene; first aid, and cultural awareness training, along with a range of secure topics.
This contract marks a milestone for both the ADF and TodayCorp, said TodayCorp CEO, Joe Ward. By using online learning developed by our company, Australias troops will be better prepared to face threat situations.
This online learning deployment supports the Middle East Area of Operations (MEAO) Briefing Package, also developed by Impart, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TodayCorp, in August, 2005. The MEAO Briefing Package was specifically developed to prepare senior military and non-military personnel for deployment to the area, including former Defence Minister Robert Hill and General Peter Cosgrove, Ex Chief of the Australian Defence Force.
Online learning increasingly forms the cornerstone of preparedness for personnel in a range of industries, says Ward. If safety and security are of concern, the use of online learning is critical in helping personnel to avoid making life-threatening and costly decisions that have a far-reaching impact. Some of Australias largest organisations are relying on TodayCorp to help address these situations.
