Award Presentation Recognizes the Use of Advanced Technology to Improve Patient Care
BANGKOK, Thailand, August 13, 2018 – InterSystems, a global leader in health information technology, today announced that HIMSS Analytics® has awarded Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin EMRAMSM Stage 6, an international benchmark for the use of advanced technology to improve patient care.
Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin is part of The Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) Group, the largest private hospital provider in Thailand with 26 hospital branches across the country. The hospital relies on the InterSystems TrakCare® electronic medical record (EMR) system to help it meet the highest standards for care and operational efficiency.
HIMSS Analytics developed the EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) in 2005 as a methodology for evaluating the progress and impact of electronic medical record systems for hospitals. Located in the resort town of Hua Hin, Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin is only the third hospital in Thailand to achieve EMRAM Stage 6.
According to HIMSS Analytics, reaching Stage 6 is a result of focus, good direction, and a steadfast commitment from leadership. Stage 6 institutions have established clear goals for improving safety, minimizing errors, and prioritizing information technology (IT) implementations.
