Honan Insurance Group announces appointment of Travis Wendt as Head of Broking & Carrier Management

Honan Insurance Group (Honan)Managing Director Andrew Fluitsma has announced Travis Wendt has joined the Australian owned insurance and financial services broker as the group’s Head of Broking and Carrier Management.

Commenting further on the announcement Andrew Fluitsma said Travis would be based in Honan’s Melbourne head office with responsibility for managing property and casualty placements. 

In addition, he would be responsible for the Group’s cluster and broader insurance supplier relationships.

The role will also encompass working together with Honan’s Head of Financial & Professional Risks, Henry Clark on strategic carrier initiatives.

Travis Wendt is an acknowledged industry professional with over 16 years’ experience with global and risked managed clients said Andrew Fluitsma.  “He started his career as Senior Account Executive for Marsh working in both Melbourne and London”. 

“Travis spent the last decade at Aon working on complex placements across numerous sectors specialising in energy markets before his move to Honan”.

The appointment reflects Honan’s plans and goals for the future that includes a number of strategic new business objectives.  These include deeper client engagement and positioning the group as a leading Risk Partner of Choice in Australia, New Zealand and broader Asia Pacific region.
