NETGEAR Insight ecosystem enables SMBs to regain control of their IT network
SYDNEY — August 21, 2018 — NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR), the leading provider of networking devices for online game play, the smart home, and the small business environment, is today introducing the new IT revolution for small businesses with the NETGEAR Insight™ ecosystem.

NETGEAR Insight™ is an industry first solution comprised of both Insight Cloud Management and Insight Manageable Hardware. Combined, the solution offers a new way to instantly set up, discover, configure, and continuously monitor and manage your network of select NETGEAR Wi-Fi access points, switches and storage devices.

It offers plug-and-play set up and management of your small business network, using an easy-to-use mobile app or a cloud web portal. Custom-built from the ground up to meet the specific needs of small businesses, the Insight platform allows any business owner or IT professional to discover and setup their NETGEAR devices, as well as update firmware on their Insight Managed devices directly from the cloud, from anywhere in the world.

“With 20 years of experience in small business networking, NETGEAR is now delivering network connectivity that “just works”, said Richard Jonker, Vice President of Product Line Management for SMB products at NETGEAR. “NETGEAR Insight makes it possible for small business owners to get back to what they do best, with seamless access to all the information they need to ensure their business network is running smoothly.”

For businesses with multiple sites or locations, Insight makes it easy to manage multiple sites right from the app or the Portal. On the Cloud Portal, with a larger screen real estate, users will have a single-pane view of all their devices and their locations. The Insight Cloud Portal is ideal to configure larger port-count switches, such as the new 52-port Insight Managed Smart Cloud switches.

Businesses are not required to purchase an additional hardware management device or to download and configure complex software to access this new solution. Insight is available and ready-to-go through a customised app which can be downloaded for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play store or via the NETGEAR website. Alternatively, the NETGEAR Insight Cloud web portal is accessible from any web browser connected to the Internet for remote management from a larger display.

NETGEAR Insight comes with two subscription plans, Insight Basic and Insight Premium.

Insight Basic is available on Insight app only, and is free for up to two devices, supporting most small business without any additional fees. Starting with the third device, a yearly subscription of just AU$7.25 per device will be charged. The number of locations for Insight Basic is unlimited; as is the number of devices it can manage, making Insight Basic a complete and very affordable solution for small businesses.

Insight Premium includes the use of the Insight Cloud web portal and also gives access to Insight advanced features including Smart WiFi roaming and PoE scheduling. Insight Premium comes in both a monthly, per-device subscription of AU$1.50 or a yearly, per-device subscription of AU$14.50. Again both the number of devices and the number of locations for Insight Premium is unlimited.

“NETGEAR has a long history of working with Australian small businesses to reach their full potential. This updated Insight solution will offer local businesses simplified, round the clock support,” said Domenic Torre, Head of Commercial Sales in ANZ, NETGEAR. “By reducing the time spent fixing technical issues, the Insight ecosystem helps to streamline network management via the app or web portal, delivering real business benefits for local SMBs.
