Oncology Aesthetics pioneer Morag Currin to visit Australia

Announcement posted by 360PR 23 Aug 2018

This September, Morag Currin, founder and creator of the world’s first Oncology Esthetics® certification for spa professionals will return to Australia to host workshops with therapists across the country. The trip also coincides with dermaviduals commencing discussions with the Chris O’Brien’s Lifehouse and the McGrath Foundation to create an Oncology Aesthetics registered practitioners program.

Reika Roberts, dermaviduals Co-Managing Director says, “Many people don’t realise that when you undergo cancer treatment that it’s not just your hair that falls out, your skin completely changes.

“By having Morag come out to provide training on how to work with someone who has a port, has had invasive surgery and of course the emotional side of things, we can ensure both men and women undergoing treatment are able to have their facials and get their skin back to a healthy state,” said Reika.

Throughout the 8-hour workshop Morag will explore:
  • Receiving your client
  • What is this disease
  • How do I use Oncology Aesthetics in my clinic?
  • Emotions – Mental wellbeing
  • Meet the client

Course Details:
Date: 3 September 2018
Time: 9am – 6pm
Location: Derma Aesthetics, Unit 12, 14 Rodborough Road, Frenchs Forest NSW 2086
Cost: $250

“My lifelong mission is to ensure no client gets turned away from a clinic due to the therapist not being confident in how to treat them. Going through cancer treatment is hard enough as it is, there needs to be more awareness in the industry and education on how simply tweaks on treatments make them possible for all,” said Morag.
