Beauty Expo Australia lands in Darling Harbour this weekend for two days of non-stop inspiration

Announcement posted by Beauty Expo Australia 04 Sep 2018

Media release, Tuesday 4 September 2018: The national event for beauty professionals is set to take over Sydney’s Darling Harbour this weekend as Beauty Expo Australia gears up for two days of inspiring showcases, emerging beauty trends, and the latest in aesthetic technologies.

Event Director Cory Watson said the event was on track to exceed growth estimates this year, reporting “we have more than 260 brands exhibiting at Beauty Expo Australia in 2018 – an increase of 45 per cent from 2017 – which is a hugely exciting prospect for our visitors looking to explore new brands and reconnect with their existing partners. At a week out from the event, we are also reporting a 20 per cent increase in Expo ticket sales from the same time last year, which is another fabulous achievement for the team. What a fantastic way to kick off our 15th-anniversary celebrations! We can’t wait for the weekend.”

Highlights of Beauty Expo’s 2018 offerings include exclusive expo specials from its extensive line-up of professional beauty brands; two free educational stages on the expo floor, with a non-stop schedule of free presentations on topics in Makeup & Grooming and Anti-Ageing; and two industry competitions for makeup artists and nail technicians, aimed at elevating competitors and providing a national platform for them to showcase their skills.

Big brands slated for the event in 2018 include MAC Cosmetics, Mancine Cosmetics, Ultraceuticals, INGLOT Cosmetics, Murad, Pelactiv, France Medical, Lycon Cosmetics, MODELROCK Lashes, Crown Brush, Caronlab Australia, Makeup Net, TechnoTan, and many more. Professional Beauty Solutions (PBS) will return with a portfolio of industry-leading brands like Dermalux LED, Image Skincare, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Pure Fiji, Sunescape Tan, Bestow Beauty, Body Sugaring Australia, Luk Beautifood and Cherry Blooms lashes.

PBS Managing Director, Matt Williams, said “Everyone at PBS is working tirelessly and excited about the biggest show of the year this weekend. We will have 12 brands under our 250sqm ceiling and about 80 team members there to answer questions, demonstrate products, and perform treatments – everything from facials to foot treatments. We can't wait!"

Beauty Expo’s curated education program provides endless learning opportunities for beauty professionals over the course of the weekend. More than 35 sessions are set to take place, presented by leading educators in the field who will discuss and demonstrate the beauty trends that visitors need to know to retain a competitive edge for the year ahead.

Nicole ‘Pinky’ Thompson, Global MAC Pro Senior Artist, said “I’m super excited to be at Beauty Expo Australia this year and look forward to sharing all the juicy bits I know and love about makeup with the industry! Knowledge is power! Education is the only way to stay at the top of your game as an MUA! Especially in this competitive business. Join me for my pro skills session as I share everything I know on how to make it as a successful artist; as well as my workshop with Carol Mackie, where we’ll help you perfect your eye makeup skills. Can’t wait to see you there!”

The event has ensured that live education is more accessible in 2018, with three special education passes providing more than $1000-worth of beauty education for just $240 per pass. Pass holders can attend all nine sessions within a stream – covering either Professional Skills, Business or Dermal/Anti-Ageing topics – for the price of just two individual sessions. This great-value offer has already proven popular among visitors, with less than 20 Dermal/Anti-Ageing passes remaining for the event.

Beauty Expo Australia 2018 takes place Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 September 2018 at the ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour. Tickets are available from www.beautyexpoaustralia.com.au
