Manheim Australia re-appointed by Suncorp as their preferred supplier of damaged vehicle remarketing services

The Suncorp Group has confirmed the re-appointment of automotive auctioneering company Manheim, as their preferred supplier to dispose of their written off vehicles. Manheim has been re-appointed for a further five years on a national basis. As one of Australia’s largest general insurers, Suncorp’s contract for the disposal of damaged vehicles is one of the largest of its type in the country.
The partnership will see around 50,000 salvage vehicles per year come to Manheim sites around the country including motor vehicles, motorcycles, trucks, machinery and caravans.
Suncorp and Manheim have shared a 22-year service partnership which has resulted in a strong working relationship, allowing both parties to develop industry leading salvage remarketing practices. The re-appointment confirms Manheim’s ability to continue to deliver favourable results for Suncorp, evidenced by their delivery of increased salvage returns under the previous contract and their outstanding catastrophe management services which included Brisbane and Melbourne Hail events as well as the NSW floods.
The confidence in Manheim has also seen partnership initiatives developed including a strong focus on removing end of life vehicles from the market through crushing as well as recycling, a move to online only sales channels and creating national access to the market of automotive recyclers. Suncorp insurance brands include Suncorp, AAMI, APIA, Shannons, CIL, Vero and many others.

Manheim are specialists in the sale of vehicles to trade and private buyers, selling on behalf of customers such as insurance companies, leasing and finance companies, local government and vehicle manufacturers and dealers.
