How NOT to lose your licence this Spring Racing Carnival

Announcement posted by Andatech 04 Oct 2018

Having a couple of drinks and being “a little bit over” means you can still lose your driver’s licence, find your car is impounded, cop a hefty fine and have to fit an interlock device.

This Spring Racing Festival do the right thing and check to make sure you are under 0.05 BAC before you get in the car and drive.

It’s also advisable to check your reading the next day as many people, including high profile footballers, have been caught out with a “just over” reading more than 12 hours after their last drink. This is extremely important for P-plate drivers who need a zero reading.

Determining your BAC reading before you even walk to get into your car is easy with an Andatech AlcoSense personal breathalyser. With a one-button operation, an AlcoSense breathalyser is highly accurate with a fuel cell sensor that provides in seconds a BAC reading to three decimal places and an accuracy of +/-.005%.

Like they did during the AFL Grand Final weekend, Victoria Police are sure to have a blitz on, especially around the Melbourne Cup ‘long’ weekend. As part of Operation Scoreboard when the Grand Final was held, the police removed 215 drink and 194 drug drivers from the roads.

All Alcosense personal breathalysers are slim and lightweight and fit into the palm of your hand. Prices start from just $219, which is a low-cost and valuable insurance policy that takes the guesswork out of knowing your BAC reading — before the police pull you over to test it for themselves.

AlcoSense breathalysers come with a lifetime guarantee*.

Note: BAC refers to blood alcohol concentration or blood alcohol content and describes the percentage of alcohol present in an individual’s bloodstream at a particular point in time. It is the key variable that determines whether law enforcement can legally arrest a driver for impairment.

* A three-year warranty is extendable up to a lifetime as long as the unit is calibrated every six months. This is provided under the ‘AlcoSense Guarantee’, which applies to all Andatech breathalysers. https://www.andatechdistribution.com.au/pages/alcosense-guarantee
