Two Australian tech leaders have launched AI Australia, a new podcast to help Australian business owners better understand the value of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
James Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of Eliiza, and Nigel Dalton, Chief Inventor at REA Group, have co-hosted a series of podcast episodes discussing Artificial Intelligence as an emerging technology in modern business.
Through a range of in-depth conversations with other Australian technology leaders, academics and AI professionals, the podcast will explore the ethics of artificial intelligence and machine learning, how to create a business strategy to support it, and the roles and responsibilities in automation.
James Wilson, Eliiza Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Our goal is to help businesses embrace AI by delving into the ways in which it will drive value for them while highlighting the importance of building trust, transparency, and fairness into AI systems.”
Nigel Dalton, REA Group Chief Inventor, commented: “Business today is extremely different from five years ago thanks to a rapidly changing and diverse technology landscape. Leaders need to future-proof their strategies and roadmaps by looking at new ways to create meaningful experiences for their customers.”
AI Australia's first episode guest is Ellen Broad, a renowned AI and ethics expert and publisher of ‘Made by Humans: The AI Condition’. The episode dives into a deep discussion on the importance of understanding AI when considering human thought and behaviours.
Other upcoming episodes will speak with Tim Miller, Associate Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at University of Melbourne, and Kendra Vant, SEEK’s Principal Data Scientist.
