Announcement posted by Crux Cybernetics 18 May 2005
Five-year old Australian software developer Crux Cybernetics Pty Ltd will unveil version 3 of its core software, TeamFrame, at CeBIT Australia 2005 next week.
TeamFrame is an online work and resource management solution which is suitable for small teams and large organisations. The software was successfully deployed at international financial giant HSBC in 2004 to manage its outsourced IT work. TeamFrame resolves the dichotomy between project planning and workflow management tools to ensure that project plans change dynamically as projects are executed.
TeamFrame has NSW Department of Commerce Period Contract 2351 endorsement as a unique offering and can be directly purchased by government agencies without going to tender.
Maarten Tentij, Managing Director of Crux Cybernetics said, Customer support for TeamFrame, our overall market performance, and investor reaction to our growth has been extremely pleasing. We have recently secured a number of new wins in the telecommunications and financial services sector.
Tentij added that Crux Cybernetics was recently included in BRW Magazines prestigious Fast 40 Upstarts list.
Crux Cybernetics will also release a white paper on Optimal Practice Methodology at CeBIT, exposing a wide audience to the benefits of the approach.
As a precursor to version 3, TeamFrame will release File Attach and Share for Teams (FAST) at CeBIT. This module brings online document management capabilities to the environment and rounds out the software as an underlying operations platform supporting existing work management tools.
TeamFrame is available on-demand via an application server, enabling customer access to the software at low cost. Operating in a standard browser, TeamFrame can be implemented on all corporate platforms.
TeamFrame version 3 will be commercially released in October 2005 and will support the following new key features:
* File Attach and Share for Teams (FAST) -
An easy way for project participants to securely access and share project files, no matter where they are.
* Cross-company Project Sharing -
Brings external TeamFrame projects into your personal project environment so you manage and communicate from a unified view.
* Custom Risk Management -
Extends the current AS4360 compliant risk management implementation to define company policies for the management of risk, associate risks with categories and define your own risk labels.
* Expense reporting -
Besides capturing time spent on work, now captures and tracks the incidental costs incurred in achieving a deliverable from lunch and plane tickets to a detailed bill of materials.

About TeamFrame
TeamFrame is an online work and resource management solution for teams. TeamFrame provides template-based methods to specify and communicate work requirements. This improves schedule accuracy, integrates risk management and simplifies resource deployment. By connecting process to practice, managers receive early warning of potential problems and significantly reduce administrative overheads.
* Dynamic template updating -
Job description templates that are modified in light of experience and shared across different projects, in order to build common best practice standards over time.
* Real-time, multi-level progress reporting -
Real-time views of actual performance compared against estimates, visible to all levels senior management, project managers, team leaders and workers.
* Eliminated administration overheads -
Doing away with level-by-level rolled-up reporting, work micro-management and communication inefficiencies.
* Integrity reporting -
Avoiding the risk of cumulative misinformation inherent in multi-level rolled-up reporting.
TeamFrame is based on Optimal Practice Methodology developed over ten years by Crux Cybernetics founder and managing director, Maarten Tentij, while engaged in international projects distributed across global organisations.
