It’s easy to migrate and configure the migration office 365 tool. All you need to follow the steps to set up the program:

1. Open the program; in the dashboard you will witness a link “create a migration job”. Click the link then select “Migration job from IMAP server” to start the process.

2. Select name of your choice for the migration file and click to Next button.

3. You need to configure your IMAP server to your connection and provide the server details you have been working till now. Click the next button and close the tab and return to migration job wizard.

4. You need to describe which mailbox you are willing to migrate your data from IMAP to office 365.

5. You are now set to connect to the target office 365 tenant.

6. Configure your server connection then you are ready to match source and target mailboxes. You can either perform it manually or you can also do it automatically by using Automatch options.

7. Time filter, scheduler, advanced setting is the options you need to configure related to your migration job.

8. After you finish the migration job, click start button at the top to run the process. The process time might differ, depending on the data and environment.

9. After the end of the last process now you are able to see the items you have migrated, in case you find any file missing in your new setup, you only have to rescan and run it again to migrate remaining files.

10. If you receive any new email while migrating your data, you can also have them on your office 365 by running the rescan option. Now your migration is completed.

Your migration process is done. Once your email from your IMAP server is transferred to your Office 365 then you need to change the MX record to point mail flow to your new Office 365 server. This process is time consuming and might take several hours, during the MX record if you notice any new item; you can rescan to have them. After this you are done with you IMAP server migration to Office 365.
