Entertainment provides a simple and feel-good way to fundraise, while supporting local business and being kind on the consumer hip pocket

Entertainment has helped raise over $5 million each year for fundraisers
The iconic Entertainment program is calling on schools, charities, health organisations, sports and community groups to consider the low-risk high return fundraising model as a key tool in their 2019 | 2020 fundraising efforts.

Entertainment Memberships are popular for their value-for-money offers across dining, travel, leisure and experiences. Their support of charities and community organisations is a lesser known benefit that makes a significant difference.

With the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission proposing new regulation this year – brought about to protect vulnerable organisations, Executive General Manager of Entertainment, Heidi Halson, says, “Many not-for-profits are feeling the pinch.”

“Entertainment, with the support of generous consumers, has benefitted more than 20,000 charities across Australia over the past 25 years and helped to raise over $80 million of support for them. 2019 will be no different as we champion fundraising efforts alongside organisations within the program,” says Ms Halson.

Ms Halson continues, “With 20 percent of profits made from each Entertainment Membership sold going directly to the fundraiser, partnering with Entertainment can earn those seeking fundraising support for a charity or other good cause, a great return on investment.

“There is no cost to partner with Entertainment, and we provide all the right resources to help our fundraisers maximise their efforts. Last year we helped our fundraisers generate over      $5 million of support for their causes,” says Ms Halson, “and we’re doing it again this year -right now.”

Andrew Buchanan, Fundraising Director at Cancer Council Victoria, says, “We’ve been working with Entertainment for 14 years and in that time, we've been able to raise $785,000 for our work in cancer research, prevention programs and support services.

“With the proceeds coming directly to the organisation, partnering with Entertainment has proved to be an effective and efficient way to fundraise,” says Mr Buchanan.

Ms Halson proudly states, “Entertainment already enjoys a strong reputation within the community for providing great value. The fact that you can redeem the cost of the Membership in just two uses, means fundraisers also feel good knowing they are actually helping their supporters save on doing the things they already enjoy”, says Ms Halson.

Entertainment Memberships offer fundraising supporters a high calibre of real and accessible offers to take advantage of, both in their surrounding community and for when they venture to other parts of Australia, and even some locations overseas.

“We’re a well-known and much-loved staple in local communities and have an envious reputation for providing real moments of joy and creating lifelong memories for Australian families,” says Ms Halson.
