CA appoints Robin Barrow as NSW sales director

Announcement posted by CA (enterprise) 04 Feb 2005

Computer Associates (CA) has appointed Robin Barrow to sales director for New South Wales. Barrow brings more than 20 years of IT specific sales experience to the role, which will see him managing and directing a sales team of more than 45 employees. His primary responsibility will be to drive growth in the region by building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
"Robin's extensive experience locally and internationally, with IT firms such as QAS Systems and SAS means he's ideally placed to manage CA's NSW sales operations," said Gavin Selkirk, CA's area manager and managing director, Pacific. "We're continually enhancing our product portfolio to service a broader market, and Robin will be instrumental in delivering and positioning this to our customers. We're excited to be expanding our local team."
Barrow joins CA from predictive analytics technology vendor, SPSS, where he was regional manager. Prior to this he was national alliances manager and state manager at SAS. In the UK, Barrow worked with leading address management software company, QAS, for seven years. From his role as sales executive, he progressed through the organisation and in 1998, opened QAS Systems' Australian operations.
"I'm very pleased to be joining CA and look forward to working closely with its diverse customer base. Developing stronger client relationships, and building on the efforts of the local sales team will be key to growing the NSW business. I'm confident we can achieve great things for the company in 2005," said Barrow.
