Announcement posted by WebSpy 15 Apr 2005
Best known for its web/email monitoring and reporting applications, WebSpys Network Analyzer takes TCP/IP traffic analysis to a new level of interrogation and transparency for network traffic management. Aimed at IT Managers and system administrators, Network Analyzer is designed to provide in-depth visibility and reporting through all levels of the TCP/IP network stack.
Network administrators and IT managers are increasingly demanding greater transparency and accountability of network resources through the use of interrogation software, said Jack Andrys, CEO, WebSpy.
The focus is on prioritising existing network resources to support critical IP-based applications, while balancing the demands of the day-to-day business against available resources. This level of visibility provides for careful capacity planning for future demands.
WebSpy developed Network Analyzer as a direct result of customer requests for more advanced network traffic log analysis. When used in conjunction with WebSpys real-time monitoring application Network Live, alerts can be configured to immediately notify the administrator of breaches in network traffic usage. Additional levels of visibility are provided through the management console with a range of charts and diagrams displaying the flow of traffic between organisational subnets and VLANs, computers, network equipment and ports.
Network Analyzer also provides for all levels of historical analysis of network traffic log files and incorporates configurable triggers to analyse particular patterns of network traffic behaviour.
WebSpy is inviting existing and new customers to register for a beta trial of Network Analyzer. Registrations can be completed at http://www.webspy.com.au/beta/register.aspx. WebSpy will exhibit at the Microsoft stand from May 25 to 26, and at the West Australian Government stand (K22) throughout the entire event.
