FIRST-TIME SYDNEY EXPANSION FOR AUSSIE COFFEE CHAIN

Announcement posted by Zarraffa's Coffee 08 Apr 2019

Australian-owned Zarraffa’s Coffee is opening its fourth store in the NSW market this week, providing Bankstown locals in Sydney with the renowned, home-grown specialty coffee offering that Zarraffa’s has perfected over the past two decades.
With almost 90 stores across Western Australia, NSW and Queensland, where the company started out operations on the Gold Coast in 1996, Zarraffa’s Coffee has made the move to further expand into greater Sydney with an opening in the suburb of Bankstown.

CEO Marnie Sheldon said that Zarraffa’s, (pronounced Za-raf-as), has had its eye on more store locations in the NSW market for some time now with Bankstown providing the right combination of access and local community to support a thriving store.

“We have received so much support in our key territories of Queensland and Western Australia and we knew that the Bankstown environment would be a great fit for the convenience of a local drive thru,” said Ms Sheldon.

“Our stores are traditionally positioned in areas that are easily-accessible by the public to purchase specialty coffee whether you are on-the-go or want to take time out to relax.”

The Bankstown store is the fourth to open under the NSW Area Developer arrangement, which is directed by experienced franchisees and developers - Ben Old and Dion Sholz.

“After their successful foray with the Belmont North (Newcastle) store opening in 2017, Ben and Dion have been leading the drive for additional expansion in the New South Wales market in order to further establish the company’s market popularity in Australia.”
Bankstown is the fourth store to open under the company’s News South Wales expansion plans, with the other three stores located in various suburbs across the state, including Banora Point, Belmont North, Coffs Harbour North and South Tweed.

“The company has decided to operate the Bankstown store as a corporate location until the perfect franchisee is ready to take on the store ownership.”
Zarraffa’s Coffee Bankstown officially opens its doors to the public on Monday 8th April and will employ up to thirty locals who will be trained in store.

“We have built our reputation on a great mix of excellent coffee, roasted fresh daily, and superior service. Customers will love that they can have their favourite beverage just as they like it – that’s our promise.”

Zarraffa’s Coffee Bankstown is located on 9-67 Chapel Road, Bankstown, NSW 2200.
Opening hours: 5am-10pm, seven days a week
