Former ServiceNow VP of Product Management to accelerate market leadership in AIOps

Reston, VA – April 9, 2019 – ScienceLogic, a leader in context-infused AIOps for multi-cloud management, today announced that it has bolstered its executive team with the appointment of Michael Nappi as Chief Product Officer.

With over 25 years of experience in delivering enterprise software products and services, Nappi’s industry expertise and credibility trace back to his roots at both Microsoft and ServiceNow, the latter at which he served as vice president of product management since 2012. There, he was a founding leader of what would become the IT operations management (ITOM) business unit. His expertise and experience in the ITOM market drove his curiosity and attention to ScienceLogic.

“Today, only 25-30% of enterprises have an operational database they trust to be accurate and reliable enough to drive automated processes. In order for IT to deliver services that are operated efficiently and always available, it is essential that they understand all of the enterprise’s infrastructure, applications, business services and their relationships in real-time. It is a hard problem but key to achieving the promise of AIOps—so services are fully automated, intelligent and self-healing,” said Michael Nappi, chief product officer at ScienceLogic. “I was attracted to ScienceLogic because for the last 15 years they have been tackling this ‘data problem’ head on and have established themselves as an early leader in the evolving AIOps space.”

In his new role, Nappi will lead the company’s product management and innovation efforts, and will focus on accelerating the adoption of the ScienceLogic SL1 platform in digital enterprises worldwide.

“The IT Operations software market is ripe for disruption, with a TAM poised to reach $30 billion by 2024. The main drivers of disruption have been cloud computing and technology abstraction traversing applications and infrastructure. A fundamentally new tool set is required to support real-time data collection, management and automation empowered by topology-driven context,” said Dave Link, founder and CEO of ScienceLogic. “Mike’s unique industry perspective and passion to deliver dynamic, self-managing enterprise platforms will help to accelerate the evolution of ScienceLogic’s platform into a world-class AIOps solution. We are thrilled to welcome him aboard.”

In May 2018, ScienceLogic launched their SL1 platform, an AIOps automation engine designed to bring real-time context to operational data and scale automations at machine speed. SL1 connects mission-critical applications to the underlying infrastructure by deriving topology maps, allowing businesses to glean meaning across various data silos and get an end-to-end service view.
