New podcast solves real-life problems faced by marketers

Announcement posted by Typeset 30 Apr 2019

Michele Linn, Clare McDermott and Sarah Mitchell team up for a new marketing podcast that aims to find solutions to the problems that commonly plague marketers.

Called Marketing Breakout, the podcast takes a deep dive into one issue each episode, with the three hosts discussing their own
experiences and solutions before talking to a marketer who
has particular expertise in that area.

Marketers are invited to submit their real-life marketing problems, stumbling blocks and struggles, for the team to discuss.

“Our goal is to help marketer’s do their jobs more effectively – it’s all about ‘getting it done’,” Linn said.

“We want to provide practical, honest information. We’re not pretending we have all the answers – but if you come to us with your issue we’ll do some research, find an expert, and come back to you with the best advice we can find.

Linn and McDermott are the team behind Mantis Research. Linn was previously vice president of content at the Content Marketing Institute. McDermott was the chief editor of CMI’s Chief Content Officer Magazine. Mitchell is a founder at Australian- based copywriting and content marketing company Typeset and a former host of the long-running marketing podcast, Brand Newsroom. The podcast is produced by Typeset founder and former Brand Newsroom producer, journalist Dan Hatch.

The first three episodes of Marketing Breakout are available now, tackling calls to action, project management tools and creating content that will win with the C-suite. Guests include Brian Massey, Jess Tyson and Roanne Neuwirth.

Marketing Breakout is released every two weeks and is available on iTunesStitcherSpotify and anywhere you get your podcasts. All episodes are available on the website, www.marketingbreakout.com.

You’re invited to submit questions and topic ideas by email to heythere@marketingbreakout.com, on Twitter @BreakoutPod, on Facebook or through LinkedIn.
