Touchbase Expands Operations Into Asia

Announcement posted by Touchbase Australia 02 Jul 2002

Australia selected as Touchbase headquarters for Asia Pacific region
Touchbase, a global communication solution and services provider, today announced the expansion of its operations into Asia following strong growth in the Australian market. Touchbase has launched its Singapore operation - the first stage of its development into Asia. Australia will remain the hub for all Asia Pacific operations.
Touchbase currently employs 90 people in Australia and this number is expected to increase to 200 over the next twelve months as a result of the expansion into Asia and continued growth within Australia.
"Across the technologies of Contact Centres, Messaging and Convergence, our absolute commitment is to deliver a consistent proposition, methodology and attitude to each client, wherever they need us," said Riordan Maynard, Founding Partner, Touchbase.
"The launch into Singapore is the second stage towards meeting our objective of delivering full service capability to our clients across Asia Pacific," he said. "Following Singapore, opening offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai will be the next logical step."
In a challenging global business environment, Touchbase enjoyed significant growth last year. Global profits increased by 106%, revenue increased by 91% and global headcount increased by 74%.
Since establishing operations in Australian in 2000, Touchbase has grown from its original base of Sydney and now has operations in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Auckland. Touchbase currently has eighty major national and global clients within Australia.
Much of the success of Touchbase can be attributed to its unique model in which the business is totally self-funded and all profits are retained within the organisation to enable growth. Touchbase's partnership programme means employees are the only financial shareholders in the company.

About Touchbase
Touchbase specifies, implements and supports world-class technology applications and platforms, specialising in contact centres, unified communications and converged voice and data solutions.
Touchbase works on the simple premise that to realise return from any technology investment, it must be linked to tangible business objectives and constantly measured against them. With this in mind, it adds value to clients in three interdependent ways - commercial expertise, which is knowledge of it's client's business and the application of technology in their specific industry; technical excellence, a deep understanding of the applications and platforms that it supports; and best practice, a unique tried and tested approach that is applied to every project undertaken.
A coveted Strategic Alliance Partner with world leading manufacturer Avaya, Touchbase works with over 500 clients - including 45% of the largest global organisations (Business Week, 2002) - to help them to drive greater value from technology investment.
Since foundation in 1992, Touchbase has now grown exponentially, and now has 20 fully functioning centres across Australia and Asia Pacific, Europe and North America.
