Aladdin chooses LAN Systems for its broad security integration expertise and highly complimentary product portfolio
LAN Systems, a specialty distributor of networking and communications products, has been chosen as a distributor of the award-winning Aladdin eToken(tm) product range in Australia and New Zealand. Aladdin (NASDAQ: ALDN), provides solutions for software digital rights management and Internet security.
eToken(tm) is a fully portable USB authentication device that offers a cost effective method for user authentication when accessing a network and
securing electronic business applications. IDC recently named Aladdin as the market leader in Software Licensing Authentication Tokens, with 35.4 percent share of the worldwide market.
Wendy O'Keeffe, General Manager, LAN Systems commented, "We are excited to offer this extremely robust and reputable addition to our security portfolio. The eToken(tm) product line helps us offer solution providers an end-to-end security solution that is second to none. Token-based authentication is an important building block in any layered security solution."
eToken(tm) is a device approximately the size of a house key. It can generate and store users' personal credentials such as private keys, passwords and digital certificates, safely inside the protected environment of the Smartcard chip itself.
Wendy O'Keefe said, "A primary benefit of eToken(tm) is that it doesn't require batteries, which means you don't need to purchase new tokens every few years. This reduces the TCO and increases ROI for users. Also, no server synchronisation is required, which reduces installation complexity and cost."
Commenting on the channel partnership, Warren Stein, General Director Asia Pacific, Aladdin Asia Ltd said, "LAN Systems, with its value added services, premium training, integration and marketing support, was the obvious choice for us to partner with as their security business is firmly in place and their reseller base is a good match for the Aladdin eToken(tm) product range."
Alan Bullows Managing Director of DeMorgan Information Security Systems, said, "Aladdin eToken(tm) products meet the increasing demand for improved and cost effective password and ID management from our clients. It's also simple to install, support and manage, making it an attractive security solution for end users."
"eToken(tm) also presents resellers with potential for an ongoing revenue stream through additional deployments and centralised management of tokens," added Bullows.
