Edge Early Learning Expands Footprint into Sunshine Coast

Announcement posted by M10 Collective 13 Jun 2019

With roots spread across the south east, Edge Early Learning has today announced its recent acquisition of three new early learning centres in the Sunshine Coast region, providing parents with additional quality childcare options.
With centres currently located in Pimpama, North Pimpama, Milton, Tarragindi, Strathpine, West End – in Jane Street and Montague Road - Edge Early Learning’s migration north has seen the group acquire centres in Aroona and two locations in Peregian on the Sunshine Coast.

Edge Early Learning Chief Executive Officer, Annie Bryce, said the Sunshine Coast region has always been on the cards for the group and the expansion will deliver a recognised standard of education and care into the local community.

“We have long set our sights on migrating north and when the option came up to secure these three centres on the Sunshine Coast, we leaped at the opportunity to grow our footprint and for our early learning and kindergarten services to be accessible to more families and children,” she said.

“Our aim is for minimal disruption to parents and children, and we are working with  the passionate incumbent educators to deliver the Edge point of difference.”

Edge Early Learning acquired the Aroona Child Care Centre on May 3 and the former Big Day Out Peregian Breeze and Peregian Springs centres on May 17, which will transition and rebrand over the next month.

“Edge Early Learning Aroona will undergo a staged renovation to the indoor and outdoor areas to improve and enhance facilities,” said Annie.

One of the Group’s key focuses remains on nutrition, with the new centres providing a diverse range of cuisines for children to broaden their tastebuds.

“Edge Early Learning aims to make life as convenient as possible for families and so all meals, nappies, sunscreen and wipes are provided at all of our centres, meaning parents and guardians only need to pack a change of clothes and a sheet for sleeping,” Annie said.

Another enhancement to the Aroona and Peregian centres is the introduction of the StoryPark App, which is designed to give families updates on their children throughout the day and give them direct contact with their centre when needed.

Established in 2017, Edge Early Learning’s group of centres boasts a unique environment that is both inspiring and challenging, with passionate educators and a program philosophy that aims to give children the best opportunity to learn and grow.

Limited vacancies are currently available at the privately-owned and operated Edge Centres with  centres due to open in Bilinga (Gold Coast Airport), and South Brisbane in the coming months, and others due to open in Kelvin Grove, North Harbour and Nundah in 2020.

Edge Early Learning Aroona is located at 134 Beerburrum Street, Aroona.

Edge Early Learning Peregian Breeze is located at 15 California Boulevard, Peregian Beach.

Edge Early Learning Peregian Springs is located at 6 Kauri Crescent, Peregian Springs.
