Sydney, Australia – 28 June 2019: Brother’s VC-500W is an innovative, full-colour direct label printer, that allows users to completely customise their labels and enhance their DIY craft and home projects on high gloss, photo quality paper. Designed to work with an app on your mobile device, the VC-500W creates easy-to-make labels using ZINC Zero-Ink™ Printing Technology, that prints in a spectrum of colours without the use of ink. This cutting-edge technology guarantees the user a professional finish on every project they wish to personalise, from DIY craft to home office organisation.
The secret is hidden in the label rolls, where colour crystals are embedded inside the ZINK Paper and are activated with heat to create a high-quality, full-colour print. As the printer uses continuous length rolls that come in a choice of 5 widths (9, 12, 19, 25 and 50mm), users have the flexibility to design, print, and cut labels up to 430mm long. From small gift personalisation or message tags, through to printing full colour images, the range in size and length ensures that every label has that personal touch.
Home users can create labels from the convenience of their PC, Mac, iOS or Android mobile device, connected to the machine through Wi-Fi or USB connectivity. With the use of the free Brother Color Label Editor mobile app or P-Touch editor label design software, users can import photos directly from their phone library and Instagram account to the app. Coupled with easy-to-print mobile technology such as Apple Air Print, photo walls and scrapbooks can be pulled together in no time at all.

“Gone are the days where your label printer was only for marking schoolbooks, and pantry items. It can now be used for scrapbooking, printing photos for the fridge or photo wall, creating personalised gift tags, printing recipe cards with photos, designing sophisticated labels for gadgets around the home, jazzing up school projects, and so much more”, says Stefanie Dixon, Marketing Manager (SMB) at Brother International Australia.

“This label printer was designed with versatility, connectivity, and ease of use in mind. Unlike other printers on the market, the VC-500W adds that little touch of personalisation with vibrant colours for everyone in the family.”

The VC-500W is available now online from Officeworks. It will be available in Officeworks stores from July 15th, 2019 and Brother Authorised Resellers from September 15th, 2019.
