ConnXion signs DataPost in Singapore and Datamail in New Zealand

Announcement posted by ConnXion Limited 19 May 2005

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ConnXion signs DataPost in Singapore and Datamail in New Zealand
Key Points:
ConnXion expands services throughout the Asia Pacific region with the signing of two international mail houses for print processing and postal lodgement services.
This enables ConnXions clients the ability to upload one single data feed, allowing for business documents to be printed and posted simultaneously across multiple countries, along with electronic deliveries of email, fax, data interchange and SMS.
The signing of these agreements is the first step in recognising ConnXion as an International Service Provider.
ConnXion Limited [ASX Code:CXN], a leading provider of document production and multi-channel delivery solutions, today announced that it has signed agreements with both DataPost (Singapore) Pte Ltd (a subsidiary of Singapore Post) and Datamail Ltd (a subsidiary of NZ Post) to further extend its capabilities of printing and posting documents throughout Asia and New Zealand.
This signifies ConnXions first significant expansion of operations and capabilities outside of Australia in pursuit of the goal to be recognised as an International Service Provider.
Previously, organisations with operations across multiple countries needed separate agreements with individual mail houses, along with separate operations and management processes for each. ConnXion now provides organisations with the ability to upload one single data feed, allowing for multiple documents to be printed and posted simultaneously across multiple countries, resulting in reduced costs and time efficiencies.
By partnering with ConnXion, Datamail has extended its operational reach to Australia. This agreement will allow Australian based trans-Tasman corporations to print and lodge business documents into the New Zealand postal system via Datamail, reducing their cost and time of delivery," said David Allen, General Manager, Document Solutions Group of Datamail Ltd.
ConnXion uses an Application Service Provider (ASP) model to upload an organisations billing or other associated data files to the ConnXion server via a simple web browser or file transfer protocol (FTP) interface. These business documents are then delivered via multiple delivery channels including geographically dispersed mail houses, email, fax and SMS messaging.
Within Australia, ConnXion partners with EDI Post (a division of Australia Post) for print processing and postal lodgement.
ConnXion is redefining the way medium to large enterprises deal with mail houses. Print processing and postage delivery is now a commodity service and organisations should avoid getting locked into multiple, complex, costly and long term contracts with mail houses, said David Colvin, CEO of ConnXion Limited.
In addition to the benefits of multi channel document delivery capabilities, ConnXion customers will have the flexibility to easily change Mail Houses, lower their risk, speed up delivery and significantly reduce the cost of posting their business documents, added Colvin.
Multi-national organisations have progressively moved towards consolidation of their back office systems and services. Now, with ConnXion, they will be able through one system to simultaneously post business documents into multiple markets, while at the same time providing customers with flexibility as they choose to migrate to electronic document delivery. The result is reduced cost and increased productivity across the organisation.
