MEDIA RELEASE | South Brisbane Expansion Provides More Placement Options with New Multi-Level Childcare Centre

Edge Early Learning has taken steps to create a vertical footprint, purpose-built site to accommodate demand for childcare placements in this high-density, metropolitan location in Brisbane’s south.
Located at 70 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane the south east Queensland-based company will today commence childcare services from the location, encompassing a four-storey flagship childcare centre and support office. 

Edge Early Learning Chief Executive Officer, Annie Bryce, believes the amount of interest they have received about the centre indicates the high demand for premium childcare places in key metropolitan areas.
 
“We have already received expressions of interest and glowing feedback from over 75 families who have taken a tour of the building,” she said.
 
With centres spread across South East Queensland and a recent expansion into the Sunshine Coast, the opening of the South Brisbane centre today will signify the 11th centre under the Edge Early Learning brand.
 
This centre will be Edge Early Learning’s flagship centre and Support Office with the building comprising of five levels in total with four childcare levels and an extra three basement levels of parking.
 
The site, which previously hosted an old dance hall now features indoor and outdoor play areas on each level, including a water play area for the Senior Kindy and Pre-Prep children on level three.
 
Edge Early Learning is expanding its centre footprint rapidly across South East Queensland with a planned centre opening in Bilinga on the Gold Coast in the coming months, and others due to open in Kelvin Grove, North Harbour and Nundah in 2020.
 
Much of the company’s success is due to the emphasis Edge places on hiring not only educators with experience, but those who are extremely passionate about what they do, with a strong alignment with the company’s values.
 
“We place high importance on hiring educated staff are excited to welcome our first male Centre Director to the South Brisbane location,” said Annie.

“He has a strong background in early childhood and is very business-minded, which is extremely important for a centre of this calibre.”
