Low profile rack mount system sits ideally in GPS comms environment

Introducing the new AMT-N5795 from Amtex Electronics
From the customized computing kings in the Amtex Electronics labs comes the AMT-N795, a low profile 19 1U rack mount chassis, whichhouses a PCM5894 single board computer with an Intel Pentium-233MMX CPU and 16MB EDO RAM.
Belied by the thin line of this unit are the incorporated FDC40-12S05 and PP25-12-12 power supplies included in the chassis, which allow for a 9-16Vdc input. Also featured are four COM ports, and the system is easily customized to accommodate an array of other inputs based on customer requirement. A 16MB DiskOnChip offers a rugged, solid-state hard disk.
Applications for this unit include use as part of a GPS rail communications system. It was customized to provide for an inbuilt floppy, a 13.8Vdc input and connectors at the front of the chassis included 4 x COM ports, 1xkeyboard, 1xVGA and 1x parallel port.
