Sustainability, culture and luxury combine at UKARIA

Announcement posted by Clockwise Consulting 27 Sep 2019

A gift to South Australia becomes an event destination for inspiration
If you thought authenticity in sustainable practices mixed with luxury and dedication to the arts was the unicorn of business event destinations, think again. Perched on the hillside of the Ngeringa property in the Adelaide Hills, UKARIA is redefining previously held perceptions of where events can be hosted.

Designed by South Australian architect Anton Johnson, the 220-seat venue is a multipurpose auditorium with world-class acoustics and sweeping views of the Mount Barker Summit.

UKARIA is the vision of Founder and Director Ulrike Klein AO who, after selling her world-famous skincare brand Jurlique, set up a foundation and built the state-of-the-art concert hall specifically designed for chamber music.

Contemporary, unique, and readily adaptable, UKARIA can also be used as a conference space.

Jakki Govan, Director, Clockwise Consulting, who represents UKARIA, said the quality, attention to detail and dedication to sustainability is a rare gift.

“Everywhere you turn, you are greeted with a beautiful, thoughtful and sustainable practice, from the art to the food and the dedication to the local community.”

Event delegates are treated to true local food, with menus inspired by local produce from the Adelaide Hills. This is complemented by an exclusively Adelaide Hills-based wine list, craft beer from Prancing Pony Brewery, artisan cheese from Udder Delights and Paris Creek Farms, and chocolate from boutique local chocolatier Red Cacao.

“UKARIA is perfect for executive retreats and conferences, where people are encouraged to expand their thinking; the setting is inspiring,” said Ms Govan.

There are luxurious executive retreat accommodation facilities on the property which can be bolstered with more options in neighbouring Hahndorf, only a ten-minute drive away.
