Announcement posted by TTHA ( Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Ages Inc ) 28 Nov 2019

Residential care facility from Tabulam & Templer Homes for the Aged (TTHA) at Bayswater combines the comfort of home with the peace of mind that resident are getting the highest quality care, creating opportunities for residents to flourish in their later years.

TTHA offer single rooms with ensuite, single rooms with a shared bathroom and couples’ rooms with ensuites. Each room has a mountain or courtyard view with a balcony or terrace as well as a lockable storage drawer, quality linen and bedding, a sitting chair, lockable door and curtains or blinds. TTHA has also recently completed a new wing and can provide a guided tour of the facility. The Bayswater care facility is situated at the foot of the Dandenongs, beautifully landscaped over nine acres and caters to people from all cultures. TTHA believes in care that is customised. This means, if residents require permanent care as they age, or just a short stay, they can be accommodated.

Residents at TTHA have access to activities that include trips arranged by their lifestyle team. In October the residents have participated in a range of such activities that included a visit to the Australian Rainbow Trout Farm in Macclesfield. “Our group were delighted to fish in the ponds and catch some trout for their BBQ lunch. Staff at the trout farm assisted everyone with threading bait and removing fish from hooks when needed and the weather couldn't have been better for a relaxing day of fishing. The day was complete with the BBQ trout for lunch and a glass of wine,” says a staff at TTHA.

Residents also got to participate in a presentation from the Melbourne Museum on Australian animals recently. “Our residents loved being able to learn about and touch these animals. It was a wonderfully educational and fantastic sensory activity which we had some lovely feedback on,” said a staff.

The lifestyle team at TTHA ensures the residents have access to activities that not only keep them mobile, but engaged in active learning. The residents recently took a ferry trip from Sorrento to Queenscliff. Residents enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch in beautiful surroundings and a relaxing ferry ride. A coffee and scone on board was well received and residents enjoyed the views from all of the decks.
