2020 Hair and Makeup Predictions:
Former Make Up Artist of the Year, Sarah Laidlaw’s top three makeup predictions:
  • Colour: It was on the runways in every major fashion capital this season. Whether it appeared as soft pink and purple eyeshadows, swipes of strong colour across the lid or flashes of coloured eyeliners.
  • Black eyes: We saw them on the runways as smudgy, thick black shadow and cream across the eye... extreme oversized versions of the winged liner and morning-after grungy eyeliner in the waterline.
  • Softened Brows: For the 2019/20 season makeup trends there were absolutely no Instagram brows in sight. Instead, eyebrows were filled in softly with powder without any harsh lines, exaggerated arches or extreme points, and they were rarely brushed up the way they had been in the previous season. Softly does it this season.
Natalie Anne, recently crowned International Hair Influencer of the Year predicts:
  • Curtain Bangs: 70s inspired bangs are back. the perfect way to frame your face and soften your blunt cuts.
  • Super long and worn: We’re going to see a lot more “worn in” layers next year. It’s no longer about thick base lines, we’re looking for a longer, tapered, effortless look.
  • Lobs and bobs: They are here to stay! We’re moving away from hard lines. The key differences are - soft layering, less aggressive lines & a lot more roundness - tuck it in or flip them out!
