Manheim to offer more hail affected vehicles in New Zealand

Announcement posted by Manheim 13 Jan 2020

Following one of New Zealand’s largest hail storms in late 2019, Manheim is now offering the public a chance to buy from a large range of hail damaged vehicles.

The mammoth storm which hit Timaru and the surrounding areas on November 20 last year, caused damage to thousands of vehicles.

On behalf of insurers, Manheim is conducting weekly online auctions of hail-damaged cars, both registered and deregistered. The new auction program in January follows on from a successful auction in mid December.

Commencing Wednesday, January 15 at 10:00am, around 300 cars will be offered in in the first of many online only auctions.  Auctions will continue throughout January on a weekly basis, offering the rest of the hail sale vehicles.

The auction program provides a fantastic opportunity to purchase a hail damaged vehicle for a favourable price.

“The hail storm impacted Timaru and the surrounds as well as many cars in the region. After our first hail auction in December, we are offering another range of cars for people to purchase off the back of our great auction success,” said General Manager of Manheim New Zealand, Brad Gardiner. “It is a great chance to pick up a vehicle and if you can’t make the first auction, we will be offering the remaining cars on a weekly basis.”

The first auction will take place via our online auction platform, Simulcast on Wednesday, January 15 at 10:00am NZDT. Cars can be viewed from the Manheim New Zealand website. Interested buyers will be required to sign up to bid and take part in the auction.
