DDLS introduces (ISC)² Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification for IT Professionals

DDLS, Australia’s largest provider of corporate IT and process training, is now offering the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification training from (ISC)² giving IT and information security leaders the opportunity to prove their understanding of cybersecurity and securing critical assets in the cloud.

By earning the CCSP certification, IT and information security professionals affirm that they have deep knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud security architecture, design, operations and service orchestration.

The CCSP qualification was co-created by (ISC)² and the Cloud Security Alliance — leading stewards for information security and cloud computing security. It is a global credential that represents the highest standard for cloud security expertise. (ISC)² is the world’s leading cybersecurity professional organisation, best known for the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certification.

The CCSP certification is a proven way to build their career and better secure critical assets in the cloud by strengthening their qualifications of advanced technical skills and knowledge to design, manage and secure data, applications and infrastructure in the cloud.

According to Cybersecurity Insiders’ 2019 Cloud Security Report 28 per cent of organisations experienced a cloud security incident in the past 12 months. Cybersecurity Insiders said the main theme to emerge from its survey was ‘the continuing shortage of not only qualified cybersecurity staff, but also the lack of security awareness and skills among all employees’

Sixty-one percent of organisations surveyed said their employees would benefit from security training and/or certification of their jobs. CISSP and CCSP were ranked the top two most valued security certifications.

To qualify for the CCSP, candidates must have at least five years of cumulative, paid full-time work experience in information technology, of which three years must be in information security and at least one year in one of the six domains covered in the course. If professionals don’t have enough experience yet, one can still pass the CCSP exam and become an Associate of (ISC)² while earning the work experience needed.
