SRC TO CLOSE SYDNEY ARM OF BUSINESS

Meri Took and David Comer, owners of Staging Rentals & Construction, have announced they are closing the Sydney branch of the business effective April 2020.

Founder, Meri Took, who has owned the business for 30 years said: “This is a heartfelt decision which has been made after a lot of consideration.

“Due to a range of factors, David and I have decided that now is the time for us begin the next chapter.”

However, this doesn’t mean the end of SRC, the leading staging and event production company which is well known for building large-scale sets and props for the Opera, exhibitions, corporate events and everything in between.

SRC Melbourne will continue to operate and provide full custom-construction services and our full line of rental products; it is business as usual there and Rod Sultana, Branch Manager, will continue at the helm.

“David Comer and I will continue to own SRC, and as always, we welcome the opportunity to continue to support our industry friends and their events in any way we can.

“We would like to thank the enormous army of people who have worked at SRC Sydney over 30 years, many who have gone on to be strong ambassadors for our industry. We also thank our incredible band of clients and partners, whose passion for events has kept us busy for 30 years.

“It has been quite a ride, I’m extremely proud of the work we have done and the relationships we have forged. And, we are also looking forward to a change of pace,” said Mr Took.

The Sydney construction workshop will operate until Wednesday 12 February. Sydney rentals are available for events up until and including Friday 6 March. Purchase enquiries of Sydney stock and plant equipment are to be directed to Meri Took.
