Downsize and Enjoy Living Independently at Tabulam & Templer Homes for the Aged

Announcement posted by TTHA ( Tabulam and Templer Homes for the Ages Inc ) 24 Jan 2020

Sitting down with an elderly loved one to discuss their care needs and the possibility of an aged care facility can be a challenging and emotional experience. The thought of leaving home can be overwhelming for someone who has lived there almost all their life, so it's important to approach the situation with care, and be prepared with research and an understanding of the type of care they may need.

Tabulam & Templer Homes for the Aged (TTHA) can offer support whether it be permanent or for a short period of time known as residential respite. Whether clients need assistance because of an illness, disability or emergency, the TTHA team can help with independent living.

At TTHA, residents can downsize and enjoy living independently without worrying about household maintenance and repairs. All their units are fully equipped with an emergency call system and as care needs increase, they can provide further assistance ensuring clients continue to live comfortably.

TTHA’s independent living unit (ILU) residents have had a great year enjoying fantastic events and entertainment. The ILU activities group is a real asset to the community, meeting monthly for outings and providing a wonderful community atmosphere and opportunities for friendships. For example, their annual TTHA ‘Weihnachtsmarkt’ German Christmas Market held on 24th November was another fantastic year with over 4000 people visiting the stalls. With more than 70 stalls and a variety of unique and handcrafted Christmas items the visitors were treated to a smorgasbord of delights. There was delicious food, entertainment and a great array of activities for the children. TTHA residents are also busy with activities including the mobile library, pet therapy sessions, residents’ outings and choirs. TTHA is a pet friendly residency.
