UNLOCK YOUR WORLD Quantum takes expo to people with low vision via webinars

Announcement posted by Thurnham Teece 18 Mar 2020

Low vision is irreversible for many patients. When further treatment is no longer an option there are still many new technological solutions which can help people in their work and personal life.

Innovations in assistive technology allow those with low vision to browse the web, read, travel and go about their lives with independence. There are funding options available including NDIS and My Aged Care, DVA, Job Access and more.

The Quantum team will present an exciting free program online - ‘Unlock Your World’.

Through a series of live webinars Quantum will explore:
  • Deafblind solutions
  • Vision Impaired and Working?
  • Vision Assistance in Education
Quantum RLV in conjunction with Vision Australia, Senses Australia, Indigo (formerly Independent Living Centre WA), Blind Citizens WA and JobAccess will be demonstrating a wide range of products and services in assistive technology, mobility solutions, employment support, accessible recreation, home modifications for people with vision impairments and blindness, learning disabilities or acquired brain injury.

Rob Drummond from Quantum RLV commented;
There are many new and exciting ways to access printed materials in a wide variety of situations, no matter a person’s ability to ‘see’ print. Via our online presentations, people will see and hear what these may do for them whether they are at school, work or at home.”

‘Unlock Your World’ is designed for all ages, including those with a disability, seniors and their families, friends and carers.

The free webinars will offer advice from experts as well as product demonstrations.
