In his technical training session, Haddock outlined the latest attachment technology for solar panels on both standing seam and exposed-fix metal roofs. He discussed the structural considerations for rooftop PV, namely load distribution and designing a PV system in a similar fashion to the roof design.
Haddock introduced S-5!’s PVKIT 2.0, which enables solar installers to mount solar panels directly onto S-5!’s clamps and brackets. The PVKIT’s pre-assembled components reduce installation time and cost for PV mounting, eliminating the need for an elaborate rail system, while also providing better load distribution into the roof and substructure.
