Sustainable builders contributing to a sustainable Australia.

Announcement posted by Sustainable Builders 21 Apr 2020

The population of Australia keeps growing that means the construction industry is booming. This concludes that there’s more pressure on the construction industry to be sustainable to ensure good quality infrastructure for the people in Australia.

The Australian population realizes the threats to the environment and they are showing this by moving towards sustainable homes. The Australian government is also advising people to move towards sustainable homes. The sustainable buildings may include sustainable energy sources such as solar or geothermal, and be sited to take maximum advantage of natural features such as sunlight and tree cover to improve energy efficiency.

Robert Swan stated “The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” Moving towards sustainable buildings would benefit everyone because they are good for the environment and they aren’t expensive to run. In fact many buildings can be modified into sustainable by just a few alterations.

A survey by Eurocell in the UK showed that 25 to 40-year-olds are increasingly looking for more sustainable features in their homes. A few interesting statistics to come out of the survey include:

  • 52 per cent of respondents said it was ‘somewhat’ or ‘very important’ that their home was made with environmentally responsible materials.

  • 49 per cent said they would be ‘more likely’ to buy or rent an eco-conscious home.

  • The most popular sustainability features were: double/triple glazing (58 per cent), maximized natural light (41 per cent), solar panels, energy efficient appliances and overall design and layout (each 35 per cent) and use of recycled and sustainable building products (22 per cent).

There are many companies in Australia in this industry like Sustainable Builders.  Sustainable Builders have been providing sustainable housing, quality building, engineering and commercial office fit out services for homeowners and businesses throughout Sydney. They have a team full of architects, builders and engineers.

Sustainable builders specialize in going against the “cookie-cutter” home by drafting their clients’ plans from a blank canvas and building a home specially designed for them and their preferences. Their planning process consists of the outlining of the home but also what their client wants inside once it’s completed, as their builders can create the interior decor of their client’s choice at their factory.

Sustainable Builders are operating by taking all the precautionary steps and following all the community guidelines in the construction industry. Their services include:

·         New Homes.

·         Renovations.

·         Home Modification Solutions.

·         Fit-Outs.

·         Civil Engineering Consultation.

They specialize in all kinds of home renovations throughout Sydney. Their complete range of renovations including:

  • Bathroom

  • Kitchen

  • Laundry

  • Bedroom

  • Home extensions

  • Decks

  • Swimming pools

  • Pergolas

  • Sheds

They also modify homes to make them:

• Disability-friendly

• Child-friendly

• Elderly-friendly

Sustainable Builders also focus on the passive design. By just putting a building in a different direction, over 40% can be saved in heating costs because heat is essentially “lock in” to a building. This clever design is going to be a lot more prevalent in buildings in the future as well.  Further, as extreme weather becomes more common, S builders realize that buildings have to be stronger and built with more care in order to be sustainable..
