Getting the world safely back to work - LeashView track and contact tracing solution for Covid-19

Announcement posted by TedGibbonsWrites 27 Apr 2020

Australian IoT startup Leash It has its proven Bluetooth-based LeashView track and contact tracing solution ready to go

Facing the massive economic fallout from coronavirus restrictions and lockdowns, governments, businesses and workers alike are desperate to get back to earning a living.

But as nations around the world begin to look at lifting restrictions and returning their people to work, the top priority is to do so safely. One of the keys to the success of such measures is the ability to track infections and trace anyone an infected person has come into contact with.

With this in mind, governments are rolling out mobile applications to do just that and asking their people to opt in. While these apps are a worthwhile measure, they have significant shortcomings when it comes to maintaining functioning businesses and avoiding further shutdowns.

Australian Internet of Things (IoT) startup Leash It has already enjoyed considerable success around the world deploying their Bluetooth technology, combined with their Software as a Service (SaaS) platform LeashView, to safeguard and track valuable personal and critical assets in settings from hospitals to mine sites and commercial enterprises.

The company is now expanding its offering to specifically address the challenges of keeping businesses, hospitals and other premises open while also ensuring the health and safety of staff working there.

The  LeashView solution provides the on-premise ability to track the recent movements of a staff member who has been identified as infected and trace other members of staff they may have been in contact with. Armed with this knowledge, a business can quickly isolate specific areas and assets for sterilisation and identify other staff members who will need to be tested. In this way, an enterprise can continue to function safely and avoid a complete shutdown.

In addition, LeashView’s ability to generate a comprehensive analytical contact tracing report at the touch of a button allows a business to take prompt action to minimise the effect an identified infection may have on operations.

With a vaccine for the Covid-19 virus still potentially some 18 months away, businesses and other enterprises need practical solutions now that can contribute to  getting the economy moving and people back to work. Leash It is in active negotiations with a number of international channel partners to rapidly deploy the LeashView track and contact tracing system globally to offer such assistance.
