Syncdocs app helps Google and Microsoft Office users collaborate in real-time

New tool connects desktop and cloud office suite users powering a newly remote workforce

With so many of us working from home we are having to navigate disparate IT systems. The main divide is the gap between traditional desktop software and cloud-based solutions.

Teams often need to collaborate with those in other departments or even other organizations. Syncdocs is a new tool that lets Microsoft Office users and Google Docs users collaborate in real-time on the same document.

Syncdocs acts as a bridge between Microsoft Office and Google’s office suite. For example, someone using Google Docs can edit the same document and at the same time as someone using Microsoft Word. Both people can see each other’s changes simultaneously.

Up to 32 users can work on the same document at the same time. Edits and versions are tagged, and can be automatically approved, or manually approved by a document owner. A full history of the edits are kept, and changes can be reversed.

Syncdocs is designed with security from the ground up. Documents are securely stored in the cloud and an extra layer of at-risk encryption can be added. Users can be given restricted change rights, so they cannot make major changes.

Syncdocs is trusted by thousands of lawyers, doctors and psychologists to keep customer data secure and confidential.
