Announcement posted by zanthii communications 01 May 2020

A Hollywood socialite and the heiress to global fast food chain KFC claims to have found a ‘CURE’ for COVID-19.

Social media influencer Kaila Methven took to Instagram recently claiming to have found a ‘potential COVID-19 remedy’ in the form of Nigella Sativa, also known as black seed oil.

The 28-year-old admits she is ‘not a doctor’ but insists the herbal remedy has been used ‘with great success’ in the suburbs of Paris, France - where she grew up - to ‘stop and prevent the symptoms of COVID-19’.

Los Angeles based Kaila, who is the CEO of her own lingerie label Madame Methven, has hit back at critics who have slammed her for spreading unfounded medical advice about the coronavirus during a global pandemic.

Instead, the heiress insists she is trying to ‘help the world’ and believes this controversial COVID-19 herbal remedy could ‘save thousands of lives’.

Kaila, who has 1.6 million followers on Instagram, said: “There is a remedy in the suburbs of Paris called Nigella Sativa, which the Arabic community has been using to great success to help prevent and stop the symptoms of COVID-19.

“I am not a doctor but I am doing my best to get Nigella Sativa in front of the FDA for testing as it could save thousands of lives and prevent the overcrowding of our hospitals.

Kaila has trademarked and patented "Kaila Methven Remedies LLC" and "Kaila Methven Covid_19 Nigella Sativa", and intends to launch her range of herbal remedies shortly.

"The Nigella Sativa capsules and serum are a remedy for all manner of ailments. The serum is for people with body aches, and people suffering from Cancer, chemo, arthritis - it is designed to be massaged in to the body to help release tension," said Kaila.

“Nigella Sativa has been used in different civilisation around the world for centuries to treat various animal and human ailments.

“I don't think we are in a position to discount anything at this point in time. I think researchers and medical professionals should be considering all avenues.

“I'm not a doctor, but at the end of the day, everything doctors use comes from the earth, whether it is pharmaceutical or holistic.

“Some things are created in a lab, but a lot of modern medicine has its roots and foundations in traditional medicine.

“There are many schools of thought on this topic and I believe in freedom of speech and opinion during critical times such as now.

“I am a concerned citizen who wants to help put an end to this virus and the loss of human lives.I feel it is my duty to bring awareness to this potential remedy to the wider community.

“I want to help save everyone. This could change the lives of millions of people.”

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), there are no specific vaccines or treatments to cure, treat or prevent COVID-19 at this time.

The WHO have also debunked a range of other ‘natural remedies’ that claim to cure or treat COVID-19, such as eating garlic or taking hot baths.

Despite this, Kaila claims she has ‘three top doctors’ who are willing to test the effectiveness of the black seed oil and has even demanded a meeting with US president Donald Trump.

She added: “I believe we should all stay inside, wash our hands regularly and practice social distancing.

“We need to help one another until we have confirmation of a cure or effective remedy, whether that be modern or traditional medicine.

“My motivation is to bring Nigella Sativa to the attention of the world's COVID-19 medical researchers to confirm if the properties in Nigella Sativa do in fact combat the COVID-19 virus.

“I believe it would be irresponsible for me not to share this information. I am personally aware of people using Nigella Sativa to great success to help combat the symptoms of COVID-19.

“I'm trying to help the world. I will not sleep until we find a cure

“I’m demanding a meeting with Trump to make this remedy public information

“I cannot just sit at home and watch the world fall, I want to make a difference.”

Kaila is an heiress to the KFC fortune after her maternal grandfather, Stanley Methven, founded a company, Rainbow Chicken Unlimited, in 1960 -  which in the 1980's acquired Kentucky Fried Chicken.
