Announcement posted by Australian Venue Co. 11 May 2020
Australian Venue Co today joins Project Unity, an initiative setup by leading Australian hospitality marketing company MyGuestlist, letting venues in any local community form an alliance and cross-promote to each other's audiences to generate revenue together as a unified group. The initiative was created to allow venues to help one another get through challenging times of Covid-19 by marketing together as a group over email and SMS. Australian Venue Co have joined the Australian-first initiative in a leading role to help accelerate the reopening of the industry by assisting venues to unify their marketing efforts together.
Leveraging a decade of data and digital marketing experiences across thousands of venues and groups, local Australian tech company MyGuestlist created Project Unity to support troubled hospitality venues trading in a limited capacity. It is now continuing the mission together with Australian Venue Co, community traders associations, precincts and thousands of other venues, groups and community hubs.
"We're in a fortunate position where we can play a vital part in helping our team, our neighbours, our competitors and all of the wonderful providers, suppliers and people which keep this industry alive come out of the troubled situation we all find ourselves in" said Kylie Moncur, GM of Marketing at Australian Venue Co. "Project Unity allows us to deliver this assistance, share our most precious assets such as access to audiences and help venues and workers bounce back with strength. We're delighted to be able to help and truly be in this together."
Project Unity has seen thousands of venues register their interest and participate in a group marketing campaign with other businesses in their local community. The MyGuestlist team continues to match businesses and groups of all sizes with one another to put the industry in a strong position in preparation for the upcoming reopening of the industry in its staged format.
"We're seeing some amazing outcomes from the Project Unity initiative. Venues which were once competitors are now helping each other cross promote to their customers and generate take-away/delivery transactions. This activity will help as we come out of the restricted trade of the last couple months and into our new post covid world where working together will be more important than it's ever been," said David Waite, CEO of MyGuestlist.
Venues or businesses interested in joining forces with others can register their interest here.
