Media release: ELEVATE PRODUCTION FINANCE READY TO CONSIDER DEBT FUNDING FOR AUSTRALASIAN PRODUCTIONS

Announcement posted by Jameson & Co 09 Jun 2020

A Melbourne-based private film finance group, Elevate Production Finance (EPF), is leading the way in its sector on adapting to pandemic conditions and is immediately ready to provide debt funding to film and television production in Australia and New Zealand. Having redefined its assessment protocols in response to COVID-19 concerns, EPF - founded in 2018 by Managing Director Craig McMahon - is open for business and ready to help the Australasian screen industries.

McMahon says that Elevate has the capacity, and is now in a position to consider providing debt finance to productions, despite exclusions for communicable diseases in insurance policies and completion guarantees. These exclusions have presented considerable challenges for the industry.

Says McMahon, ‘We are excited to reopen our doors to producers seeking debt finance for their productions. These unprecedented times have forced the entire industry to adapt to the 'new normal'. The landscape has significantly changed, producers have had to adjust to new working environments, and as a lender, we have responded swiftly by reviewing our lending protocols.

‘These new protocols will enable us to consider projects impacted by the lack of COVID-19 coverage within insurance policies and completion guarantees, which is a crucial first step in redefining our lending conditions.

‘We will continue to support the screen sector both domestically and in New Zealand.

‘As always, projects will be assessed on a case by case basis and we will continue our collaborative approach to providing appropriate debt funding options; we want to help ensure that cast and crew can get back to work, and that producers are able to continue creating new content.’

EPF welcomes enquiries from production-ready producers via its website: elevatepf.com
