CommsPlus targets growing Australian cloud communications market with Master Agent agreement for Avaya Cloud Office

Announcement posted by Avaya 22 Jun 2020

Sydney, Australia – June 22, 2020 – In a move targeting Australia’s growing cloud-based unified communications market, CommsPlus Distribution, has signed a Master Agent agreement with Avaya that will help the country’s organisations enable a new, distributed workforce with Avaya’s latest unified communications (UC) platform.

The partnership will see CommsPlus, the distribution partner of choice for leading communication vendors throughout Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea, distribute a range of Avaya products, starting with the new Avaya Cloud Office by RingCentral solution.

“When you combine Avaya’s solution set with our services portfolio, our partners have the opportunity to expedite their customers’ adoption of comprehensive cloud communications no matter how diverse or dispersed their operations may be,” said Paul Bailye, Group General Manager at CommsPlus.

“This partnership also enables our voice resellers to easily create and build recurring revenue streams and expand their own portfolios as part of the market’s wider adoption to cloud communications.”

An all-in-one unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) platform, Avaya Cloud Office makes it fast and easy for organisations to leverage cloud communications to drive business success. By enabling voice calls, team messaging, meetings, conferencing, file sharing and more, Avaya Cloud Office empowers workforces to meet, share and collaborate productively no matter where they are.

“With this partnership announcement, we’re continuing to modernise the ‘experience’ and communication technology market in Australia and around the world,” said Steve Williams, Channel Director Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) at Avaya.

“Avaya Cloud Office provides Australian organisations with the tools to adapt to the new world of work while saving time, resources, and money on their communications strategies. With CommsPlus, we will enable our joint partners and agents to accelerate their ability to help Australian organisations to innovate quickly and simply without having to make heavy, up-front investments.”

As part of the agreement, CommsPlus will also distribute Avaya’s open SIP, multi-platform communications devices and Avaya IP Office to its channel of agents, value-added resellers and system integrators, providing the market with one of the most rounded suite of commnications offerings available.

With training and technical centres in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, Avaya partnered with CommsPlus for its local market presence, partner support programs and extensive industry experience.

CommsPlus has already launched an agent recruitment strategy that offers a range of agent and reseller support programs, including pre- and post-sales support, technical support, professional services, billing and subscription management, technical training, and localised marketing activities.
