The AMAZING HUMAN BODY EXHIBITION, an anatomical display of real human bodies, today announced that the exhibition was a success for Sydney with both public and private school groups coming through the exhibition on a weekly basis and with a visiting delegation of doctors from the Faculty of Medicine Institute for Biomedical Research holding a private evening function last night.
The publics response has been very positive with interest and curiosity continuing to spread across the country, said Anna-Greta Pearl, spokesperson for the AMAZING HUMAN BODY EXHIBITION.
The AMAZING HUMAN BODY EXHIBITION explores topics such as health, anatomy and physiology through the study of real human bodies that have been preserved through a revolutionary technique called plastination. 18 aesthetically posed whole body specimens, including transparent vertical and horizontal body slices, together with 400 anatomical specimens, are on display.
The exhibition is now attracting a broader audience base, including a large group with a desire to learn more about the exhibition and the human body, said Pearl.
The Step into Leonardos Shoes drawing workshop is the first in a series of events that are being developed to satisfy this public interest.
We want the exhibition to delight, inform and challenge visitors through engaging and thought-provoking experiences. Through this drawing workshop and other proposed seminars and events, we hope to transform the way in which people see and think about the world around them, said Pearl.
The Step into Leonardos Shoes drawing workshop series takes place Wednesday and Thursday nights from 4.45 pm to 8.45 pm and features anatomist Dr Brian Freeman and artist Susan Dorothea White.
The workshop is open to all levels from beginners to advance and costs only $200 inclusive of GST and refreshments but BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL! To secure you place contact, Special Events Management on 02 8765 4301 or email drawing@special-events.com.au.
