EMC and Express Data Sign Distribution Agreement

In a move designed to aggressively expand mid-tier growth, EMC Corporation today announced the appointment of Express Data as a distributor of EMC's CLARiiON CX line of products to its 4,000 strong channel partners throughout Australia.
To meet the growing demand of entry-level SAN and NAS systems, EMC and Express Data will provide resellers with the tools to supply medium sized enterprises with networked storage solutions that are cost-effective, simple and scalable.
David Henderson, General Manager Partners and Alliance, EMC Australia and New Zealand said, "This partnership is the next wave of EMC's channel strategy aimed at establishing relationships with partners to significantly increase EMC's market presence in the mid-tier."
"One of the deciding factors in the selection of Express Data was its logistical set-up, which provides customers with one of the quickest and most efficient delivery services in the industry. All of our current Channel Partners will benefit from this agreement.
"The agreement with Express Data follows EMC's recent relationship announcements with Microsoft and Cisco. All three of these contribute to strengthening EMC's position in the NAS market and also demonstrate EMC's commitment to address a broader range of customer needs," David said.
