RECORD-BREAKING MODELS TO BE UNVEILED IN NEWCASTLE

AT EXHIBITION MADE FROM LEGO® BRICKS!

Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught brings Brickman Awesome to NEWCASTLE!

Hunter region LEGO® fans, prepare to be awed, because Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught is bringing his latest exhibition, Brickman Awesome, to Newcastle this September school holidays!

Newcastle Entertainment Centre (NEC) will host Brickman AwesomeRyan’s third exhibition made entirely from LEGO® bricks, featuring 36 models, none of which have been seen in Newcastle before, and which took a mammoth 5,000 hours to build from more than two million LEGO® bricks.Tickets will go on sale at 11.00am Friday 11 September through Ticketek.

Luke Daniels General Manager of NEC says: “We are thrilled to be hosting Brickman Awesome on its last Australian city leg before this amazing exhibition leaves our shores. The exhibition lends itself to be staged in a socially distanced manner so families can enjoy a terrific event during school holidays.”

One of the most ‘awesome’models in the exhibition is the world’s first life-size LEGO® Harley-Davidson, which will be showcased alongside a number of record-breaking models, including an enormous 3 metre tall Orca whale and the largest ever LEGO® Caterpillar 797 dump truck.

Visitors will be forgiven for thinking they have stepped inside a zoo, as they find themselves surrounded by a LEGO® kangaroo, koala, penguins and even a full-sized LEGO® Australian saltwater crocodile, weighing over 60kgs and built using more than 40,000 LEGO® bricks.

Brickman Awesome punters can take advantage of Ticketek’s world-leading partnership with Afterpay when they book in advance. Available via the Ticketek app or website, Afterpay is the world’s largest buy-now-pay-later service, offering fans greater flexibility to pay for tickets in four equal instalments but securing their session with the first payment.

It’s been a busy time for Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught, who starred alongside Hamish Blake in ‘LEGO MASTERS’, Channel Nine’s show that pits eight pairs of LEGO®-loving Aussies against each other in a series of building challenges.

When asked about plans for Newcastle Ryan said: “I’m excited to finally be bringing Brickman Awesome to Newcastle. It’s an amazing city and when we brought our previous exhibitions they were incredibly well received – Novacastrians really do have such huge enthusiasm for LEGO®!

“My team and I have had a great time building all these record-breaking models, so I can’t wait to share them with fans and families in Newcastle. This year’s theme is quite broad. The models in the exhibition are pretty diverse, so whether you’re an animal lover, a movie fanatic, or you have a love of travel, there really is something for everyone – young and old!”

Following the enormous success of Brickman Experience’s Newcastle season in 2017 and to comply with COVID-19 protocols, booking online and in advance is strongly recommended to secure a preferred session time. Door sales will be possible, but subject only to session availability. The safety of patrons and staff is TEG Live and Brickman Exhibition’s top priority and Brickman Awesome will operate with a commitment to a COVID Safe environment. Brickman Awesome’s COVID Safe measures include capped number of visitors to all sessions; physical distancing measures in queues and sanitiser stations located onsite. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the exhibition no longer has LEGO® building activities included.
