Equant strengthens security focus with new Australasian appointment

Andrew Lee appointed Principal Security Solutions Consultant, Equant Australasia
Equant (NYSE: ENT) (Euronext Paris: EQU) today announced the appointment of Andrew Lee as Principal Security Solutions Consultant at Equant Australasia to drive the expansion of the companys security practice.
Equant is the only global network provider to offer end-to-end security solutions, including security consulting. This appointment demonstrates Equants commitment to ensuring that it remains a leader in providing e-security services to businesses.
In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for Equants security practice, developing sophisticated network and IT infrastructure security solutions that are tailored to customers needs.
We are seeing that increasingly more complex solutions are needed to protect against unauthorised access while at the same time allowing authorised access to data by employees, partners, customers, prospects and suppliers, said Richard Knott, Managing Director, Equant Australasia.

Andrew has over 24 years of experience in security, management, business development, technical and risk management and consulting in Australia and the UK. Prior to joining Equant, Andrew was Security Practice Manager for Logicalis.
Previously, he was Associate Partner within the Security and Privacy Practice for IBM and has also held a number of senior IT security positions in the finance industry, including positions at Macquarie Bank, Westpac and Bankers Trust, where he gained a wealth of experience in the design and implementation of technical solutions as well as strategy development and project management.
